医療英語講座 これだけ覚えてすぐに使える！シリーズは、看護師のちかさんが、入院患者のマークさんの対応に奮闘しながら成長していくストーリーになっています。 この講座はその4本目です。今回のちかは英語で検査に関する説明に挑戦しています。 まずは、講座冒頭のショートビデオを見てみましょう。医師から緊急のCTとレントゲンのオーダーが入ったためちかは患者さんにこれらの検査の説明を試みます。しかし、レントゲンや検査、CTなどの単語がわからず、患者さんには緊急手術があると勘違いさせてしまったようです。 ちかと一緒に検査に関連する説明に際し役立つ英語を学んでいきましょう。ここで学ぶフレーズはとても簡単なものが多いですがいずれもとても重要です。 ＊重要フレーズ＊ We are going to take a CT scan. / CTスキャンに行きます。 We are going to do an X-ray. / レントゲンに行きます。 I will escort you there. / 私が連れていきますね。 It is on the second floor. / 2階にあります。 Are you able to walk? / 歩くことは可能ですか？ Can you walk? / 歩けますか？ Do you need a wheelchair? / 車椅子が必要ですか？ You need to be fasting before the CT. / CTの前は絶食です。 You need to be fasting before the X-ray. / レントゲンの前は絶食です。 No food and drinks before the CT please. / CTの前は食べ物、飲み物なしでお願いします。 No food and drinks before the X-ray please. / レントゲンの前は食べ物、飲み物なしでお願いします。 You can eat until 8am. / 午前8時までは食べれます。 You can drink until 9pm. / 午後９時までは飲むことができます。 You can drink only water. / 水だけ飲めます。 I will bring breakfast after the exams. / 検査のあと朝食を持ってきますね。 It will take about 10 to 15 minutes. / 約10分から15分かかります。 It won’t hurt you. / 痛くないですよ。 Please remove all accessories. / すべてのアクセサリーをはずしてください。 Please remove your hearing aid. / 補聴器をはずして下さい。 Please leave your phone and wallet in your locker. / 携帯と財布はロッカーに置いてください。 講座で学んだフレーズを使い、ちかはマークさんへの検査の説明に再挑戦します。講座最後の患者さんとのやりとりは以下のスクリプトをご参照ください。 ＊スクリプト＊ Chika: Hi, Mark. I have never done these tests before. おぉそうなんですね。今までそれらの検査を受けたことがありません。 Chika: It will take about 10 to 15 minutes. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you. 検査は10分から15分程度です。心配なさらないでください、痛くありませんよ。 Patient: That's a relief. 安心しました。 Chika:I will escort you there. It is on the second floor. Are you able to walk? 私が付き添います。検査室は2階にあります。歩けますか？ Patient: Yes, I think I can. はい、おそらく大丈夫です。 Chika:Great. You need to be fasting before the CT. よかったです。CTの前は絶食する必要があります。 Patient: Fasting?
