医療英語講座 これだけ覚えてすぐに使える！シリーズは、看護師のちかさんが、入院患者のマークさんの対応に奮闘しながら成長していくストーリーになっています。 この講座はその5本目です。今回のちかは英語で点滴と薬の説明に挑戦しています。 まずは、講座冒頭のショートビデオを見てみましょう。医師から点滴と抗生剤のオーダーが入ったため、ちかは患者さんにこれらの説明を試みます。しかし、「点滴」や「抗生剤」などの単語がわからず、患者さんを混乱させてしまったようです。 ちかと一緒に点滴や薬の説明に際し役立つ英語を学んでいきましょう。ここで学ぶフレーズはとても簡単なものが多いですがいずれもとても重要です。 ＊重要フレーズ＊ The doctor ordered IV fluid for you. / 医師が点滴をオーダーしました。 The doctor prescribed some medication for you. / 医師が薬を処方しました。 We will start an IV fluid shortly. / すぐに点滴を開始します。 You will have an IV fluid shortly. / すぐに点滴をします。 This IV fluid is for your recovery. / この点滴は回復のためです。 This IV fluid gives you energy. / この点滴は活力を与えます。 It takes about 30 minutes. / およそ30分かかります。 You will have an IV for 24 hours. / 点滴は24時間です。 You will have the same IV hourly. / 1時間毎に同じ点滴をします。 You will have the same IV every 4 hours. / 4時間ごとに同じ点滴をします。 The doctor ordered some antibiotics for you. / 医師が抗生剤をオーダーしました。 The doctor prescribed some antibiotics for you. / 医師が抗生剤を処方しました。 Please take these tablets with water. / この錠剤を水と一緒に飲んでください。 Take these tablets after a meal. / この錠剤を食後に飲んでください。 Take these tablets before a meal. / この錠剤を食前に飲んでください。 You need to take these tablets 3 times a day. / この錠剤を一日に3回飲んでください。 Take these tablets when you have pain. / この錠剤を痛みがあるときに飲んでください。 This tablet is for stomach ache. / この錠剤は腹痛のためです。 This tablet is to treat infection. / この錠剤は感染症を治療するためです。 This tablet is for pain control. / この錠剤は疼痛管理のためです。 講座で学んだフレーズを使い、ちかはマークさんへの点滴と薬の説明に再挑戦します。講座最後の患者さんとのやりとりは以下のスクリプトをご参照ください。 ＊スクリプト＊ Chika: Hi, Mark. Doctor said I might have an infection. やあ、ちかさん。んー..良くなっていませんね。先生が感染症かもしれないって..。 Chika: The doctor prescribed IV fluid and antibiotics for you. We will start an IV fluid shortly. 先生が点滴と抗生剤を処方しましたよ。すぐに点滴を始めますね。 Patient: Oh, OK. What is IV fluid for? おぉそうなんですね。何のための点滴ですか？ Chika:This IV fluid gives you energy. Because you haven't eaten well due to stomach ache. この点滴は体力をつけるものです。腹痛であまり良く食べれていないですから。 Patient: That’s true. I barely drink water. 本当ですね、かろうじて水は飲んでます。 Chika: And antibiotic tablets are used to treat infection. 抗生剤の錠剤は感染症を治療するためです。 Patient: OK. わかりました。 Chika: I will bring antibiotics later, please take these tablets with water after the meal. 抗生剤は後で持ってきますね、食後に水で飲んで下さい。 Patient: OK. How many times do I need to take antibiotics? わかりました、何回抗生剤を飲むんですか？ Chika: You need to take antibiotics 4 times a day. 1日に4回飲む必要があります。 Patient: OK. わかりました。 Chika: Any question? 質問はありますか？ Patient: Actually, I haven't been to the toilet since I was admitted. 実は入院してからトイレに行ってないんです。 Chika:I see, I will ask the doctor to prescribe laxatives for you. わかりました。先生に便秘薬を処方するように頼みますね。 Patient: Thank you, it will help me a lot. ありがとう、助かります。
